About Peponi Safaris
Peponi means paradise in Kiswahili — and for us, it’s not a marketing phrase. It’s a feeling.
Most people dream of going on safari one day.
But few experience it the way it was meant to be, unhurried, intimate, guided by people who know the land not from guidebooks, but from lived memory. Peponi Safaris exists to bring this to you.
We specialise in small‑group [photography‑friendly] journeys designed to help you experience Kenya properly, with enough time, space and guidance to see the Mara the way we’ve seen it our whole lives.
What Makes Peponi Different
Boutique by design
With a maximum of 14 guests per departure and no more than 6 guests per vehicle, our safaris remain intimate, flexible and unhurried.
Authentic access and our relationship with the Maasai
Our Maasai guides know the Mara not from maps, but from lived experience; reading the land, the light and the movement of wildlife with extraordinary intuition. Relationships are very strong and every safari benefits the traditional owners that have stewarded the land for thousands of years.
Thoughtfully hosted
From a luxurious lodge where you have the option of living in a tent or a lodge room*, unfenced where you will likely see the animals at your doorstep, beautifully prepared meals, every detail is considered so you can be fully present.
Purpose beyond travel
A portion of every safari supports conservation initiatives in Kenya, including the Kenya Wildlife Service and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Some Places You Visit. Kenya You Feel
This is the journey that rewrites what a safari can be.
Kenya casts a spell unlike anywhere else on the planet. A quality of light that turns every sunset into a masterpiece. Landscapes that stretch beyond imagination — from acacia-dotted plains to the vast, rolling grasslands of the Maasai Mara. And wildlife so extraordinary, so abundant, so alive, that no photograph ever fully does it justice.
Beginning in Nairobi and sweeping through one of Africa's most legendary wilderness areas, every detail has been crafted to deliver the full magic of Kenya — extraordinary wildlife, exceptional accommodation, and hosting that is genuinely personal.
First visit or fifth — this one stays with you.*
Made for first-timers, couples, friends, and bucket-list dreamers.
